Description
Caught on trees, 2018. The pink-lip amphidromus, in the Taxonomic review of the tree snail genus Amphidromus shows a specimen with uniform pink lip but the form and stripey body pattern is unmistakable even though the pink on this form is in the inside and goes darker towards the formation of the outer lip. One major difference that this maybe a whole other species is the protoconch is always dark in all specimens. Subject to further study but we shall remain it as roseolabiatus for the time being. A real beautiful species, even to non-collectors as I found out in the Shanghai shell show where even children were captivated by this shell. Wonderful species to give away to encourage new collectors of this fascinating genus.
