The famed Victor cone, from the Conus nobilis complex stretching from the Indian Ocean to East Indonesia. 3 nobilis subspecies live adjacent to them. The Conus nobilis skinneri from North Bali and Conus nobilis abbai from Solor Island. The victor is found in Lembata Island.
The victor cone is always with the dark bands, absent in the abbai. The skinneri is reddish. The difference are apparent once someone handles many of them as we have. Still controversial but I would think Mr. John Abbas got them right. Giant specimens can grow excess of 65mm but it is extremely rare to find one. Above 60mm is rare also. Very beautiful and a set of different patterns is always a must for conidae enthusiast.
