Description

Description

Collected near the border of Laos. Found on mountain after rain. Due to the proximity of the geographic distributions and similarity in shell morphology of the two species, Pollicaria mouhoti have long been considered a junior synonym of Pollicaria myersii. However, Pollicaria myersii can be distinguished from Pollicaria mouhoti by an elongated purple to pale orange shell with thin periostracum, rounded aperture and very fine wrinkles on the dorsal part of the last whorl.
