Description

Description

Day dive among coarse carbonate sand, 120ft. Lip with minor chips. This is usual for this species (normally filed by sellers).

Another one of Peter Dance’s 50 rare shells that remain uncommon to this day. A beautiful and elegant species with most specimens coming from trawlers off Kenya. Prior years specimens are only from old collections but recently, fresh specimens are turning up every now and then, presumably from fishing vessels and are by-products thus the prices are relatively cheaper than the actual value. Typical specimens are > 100euro in the market.

We start at 50e.
