Type location mentioning Manila. Ranging from the Indo-Pacific from South Africa to Japan, New Zealand and Hawaii. Common in Indonesia and India. Habitat only offshore, brought up from crab traps from 150m deep.

Average size between 90~150. May grow up to 200mm but very rarely above 150mm. The strongly inflated last whorl that is the main character of T. lischkeana and seperates it clearly from T. dolium. Often confused with T. dolium byt should not be. The last whorl is near spherical shape and the fasciole is less severely twisted and straighter than T. dolium, so should not be any confusion in the ID.
