Small but beautiful species ranging from Taiwan and the Philippines to New Caledonia and the Solomon Islands, excluding Vanuatu. This is a wide ranging species and is common throughout its range. This species is found at depths of 6 to 240 m. It is found among coral, seaweed and coral rubble and if often seen on the drop-off around 20 m. During the daytime, it is found within the inner layer of coral rubble. Adults can grow up to 30 mm, although typically they will be smaller than this.
