Smaller in size, convex, valves gasping slightly or not at all. Valves carry fewer ribs than the typical irradians (apprx 13~17). They are high and rounded and wider than interstices. Concentric lamellae showing in these interspaces. This subspecies has thicker and more convex than concentricus.
