Description

The “real” costifer with rough surface. DNA analysis shows that there is a 10% difference compared to the smooth specimens that were offered before. That means, the previously sold “costifer” is a new species and it has already been described by Dr Thach as Amphidromus costifer gemmalimae in his new book “New shell of South Asia” (Volume 2). All these while, it has always been dextral specimens collected. This actual species has both dextral & sinistral. Collected by locals in the forest, October 2019.
