A ventricose shell, almost oval; color olive-greenish to dark brown, always with a dark brown upper part; teleoconch whorls quite flat, suture of medium depth; aperture subquadrate, labial callus weak, peristomial rims slightly reflected, columellar side enlarged to form a small columellar shield; angularis present, a parietal callus missing; umbilicus slit-like open.
