A. atimovatae according to the authors the shells are hard to distinguish from A. ventricosa, but the color of the shell A. atimovatae is slightly more saturated, also the primary callus on the spire whorls is thicker. Should be endemic to Madagascar and formerly called form fulva of the ventricosa.
