A. Jamrachi was named after Charles Jamrach, an animal dealer in London, by Dr. John Edward Gray, Keeper of Zoology at the British Museum. This species is found in Northwestern Australia and in Indonesia. Habitat on coarse sand from intertidal to 40m deep. The Northern form tend to have thinner lines and with a conspicious thickening of the possible spiral bands. Maybe confused with a juvenile ellioti but it is lighter in structure and has a canaliculate sulture.
