This species can be found on rocky shores in the Atlantic Ocean (Angola, North Carolina to Northeast Brazil), the Gulf of Mexico, the Caribbean Sea and the Lesser Antilles. It can be found from sub-tidal to 60m depth. It’s scientific name suggest a similarity to a certain bodily male appendage. A lovely species nonetheless.
